John Parry was recruited from Grammar School in England and within a few years became the youngest ever manager in the Unilever organization. While taking his professional exams he developed a wide range of business experience. Moving to the United States he started again as an Accountant for a large photographic company but soon used his other skills and constant desire to improve process’ to move up to General Manager. In 1992 John was recruited by Nissan Design America to head up their business department. During his 28 years with Nissan, he managed multiple projects including expanding, remodeling the California Studio, building a new studio in Michigan, and building a plant in Mexicali, Baja. During John’s time with Nissan, he met Jennifer Luce and was Project Manager for all the jobs that she performed for Nissan. Merging their passions for vigorous, thoughtful design with driving process and constant budget awareness it was a successful partnership. When early retirement came for John, he has spent some time consulting for Jennifer using his passion for design and good business to help her in her endeavors.
John loves to support others, whether it is Business Consulting, volunteering at the church he attends or walking and talking with neighbors. When he wants to relax he loves to read mystery novels (including collecting signed first edition books), roam the golf links with friends or hit the casino for poker or blackjack. Along with a developed taste for red wine he has an inbred enjoyment of a great scotch and a nice “sticky toffee pudding with custard”.
