Jonas Van Vliet

Born in Leuven, Belgium, Jonas was surrounded by creativity & craft as his father was a sculpture and had his atelier attached to the house. Inspired by this environment, his love for craft, art, architecture, etc. came early in life. After studying at the St. Lucas school of Arts and Science in Ghent, Belgium, he started his career in Brussels and moved to California few years later.

Jonas has honed his versatile skill set over 14 years at fast-paced architectural firms. He started his career as a designer and project manager at the renowned studio, Decort + Dervichian in Brussels, Belgium. There, he was responsible for designing, managing and delivering large-scale, high-end corporate projects, such as Porsche and Volkswagen corporate offices. When he moved to California 10 years ago he had the opportunity to work at My studio ID, where he advanced his role into Senior Designer and Project Manager focusing on hospitality projects in San Diego. Seeking high-end projects, he joined the Los Angeles based architectural firm Marmol-Radziner where his concentration was complex, highly-detailed projects. This experience prepared him to join the LUCE et studio team where he is dedicated to delivering projects with the assured quality in a timely manner.

Jonas loves reading, traveling, architecture, wine, learning, gathering, museums, a nice dinner, design, music, sunsets, art, nature, concerts, bread, laughter, road trips, urban environments, snow, vinyl records, getting inspired,  … life.
